Carlos Almeida has more than 20 years of experience. Engineer with a successful international professional track record across different industries. Recognized experience in energy, mobility, large infrastructures and transportation. With background and experience from different perspectives: private (promoters, investment banking and investors), public and R&D institutions.
Carlos has been board member of several institutions and funds, also with other several important roles across his career, namely Head of Strategy and Planning at CEIIA, Director-General in the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology in Portugal, CEO of FAI Innovation Fund, CEO of FEE Energy Efficiency Fund, Member of the Advisory Board of ERSE, Member of the Governing Board of the IEA - International Energy Agency and CEO of ADENE, advisor to the Secretary of State for Energy, Corporate Finance Senior Manager at PwC - PricewaterhouseCoopers.
He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto and a post-graduate degree in Finance from the Faculty of Economics of Porto. He also carried out the Program of Management and Leadership for Executives by the Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences of the Portuguese Catholic University of Lisbon; Program in Public-Private Partnerships by the Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences of the Portuguese Catholic University of Lisbon; and Advanced Business Taxation Program by the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Portuguese Catholic University of Porto.
